Market Range: 13 Hiring Salary: Salary Commensurate Based on Experience JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Director of Campus Recreation provides and oversight of all aspects of the management of the Department of Recreational Services, a university enterprise devoted to the provision of recreational programs and services for students, staff, and faculty of the University. This position will also be an active collaborator with peers at other universities across the UT System for alignment of policies and procedures, attend fitness and professional conferences and other events, with the community through programs to improve health and recreation, and with outside vendors for assistance with events. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises the daily operations of Campus Recreation, Fitness Center, SAC, and Doc’s Field. Reviews, develops, and implements operating procedures pertaining to risk management related to Campus Recreation, Fitness Center, and SAC. Develops guidelines for use of the facilities. Maintains student confidentiality following all HIPAA and FERPA laws. Prepares and monitors monthly, quarterly, and annual departmental budget. Ensure proper operation and maintenance of all Fitness Center equipment and amenities. Professional Development (Local and National) with the National Intramural Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA). Directs the operations and maintenance of Innosoft Fusion software which manages fitness center memberships, access/security, equipment rentals, program enrollment, business transactions, online purchases, etc. Collaborate with other University departments for programs and events for incoming students during new student orientation. Develops and offer students, faculty, and staff opportunities to become healthier with health-related classes, programs, and activities. Performs other duties as required.
