Experienced Veterinarian or Strong New Graduate for San Jose, Saratoga, Privately-Owned Progressive Small Animal Hospital Reed Animal Hospital is a progressive privately-owned hospital located in Saratoga on the west side of the Santa Clara Valley, 20 minutes southwest of San Jose, in the San Francisco Bay Area. We have a great staff and a progressive flexible owner. Saratoga is known for its suburban small-town feel (population 31,000) wineries and beautiful gardens. We are looking for an experienced veterinarian (full or part-time) or a strong new graduate who enjoys moderate-paced medicine and would like the opportunity to work in a collaborative and collegial culture. About our practice: -Progressive Medicine, -4-day work week, -strong dedicated staff with little turn-over; Dr. Eberly started with us as a new graduate and looking forward to starting her 4th year with us, -professional culture and enjoy laughing and having fun, - equipment includes digital whole body and dental x-ray, Ultrasound, IDEXX, Abaxis in-house, Avamark for our medical records, -busy practice that translates into generous compensation in excess of $200K, -everyone pitches in; our owner picks up poop along with everyone else! Qualities we’re looking for in an associate: -ability to connect and have compassion for clients, pets, and staff, -ability to do simple soft tissue surgeries; however, if you are interested in developing your surgical skills, Dr. Reed would be delighted to teach more complicated surgeries and/or orthopedics, -a good understanding of internal medicine. Compensation: Generous base plus production (22% production) exceeding $200K/yr, full medical insurance, Life Insurance, Dental insurance, pet care discount, 3 weeks’ vacation, holidays, CVMA and AVMA dues, generous retirement plan, relocation expenses, and paid CE. Works with medical, administrative, staff to perform surgery, provide medical care; communicate with owners regarding pet care/wellness, wishes; maintain accurate records; meet all license and CE requirements; represent the hospital in the community.
