POLICE COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST - $65,658/yr. – Screening 7/29/21 - Open until filled. Plans, organizes, and implements the Police department’s public information activities in order to provide the public and media with timely and accurate information in matters of public interest and to provide a positive organizational image to a diverse community. Serves as the point of contact for media and will conduct on-camera interviews and send out information regarding incidents. Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, Marketing, or related fields; and three to five years progressively responsible related experience. Must possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License. A comprehensive background investigation will be conducted.

LEGAL BANK LEGAL ASSISTANT - $39,854-$50,252/yr. (Temporary position not to exceed one year but may be extended if funds are available) – Screening 7/30/21 - Open until filled. Will support the land bank program, legal services for insurance claims and recovery efforts, and other general legal administrative duties to include preparing reports and compiling information to assist in contract negotiations with a variety of union bargaining units. Two-year associate degree, diploma or equivalent from a college, technical, busines, vocational, or correspondence school; one to three years progressively responsible related experience and a typing speed of 45wpm required. Notary Public is a plus, but not required.
